Fujimi Porsche 928S4 finished (6 pics)

Couple of pictures from a Fujimi 928GT I just finished. Actually I built it as 928S4 as I didn't want the hassle with wider front wheelarches which the GT would have needed. Model is built pretty much straight from the box. I painted the wheels with Alclad 2 aluminum and lowered the front suspesion a bit, because it was too high from the box. Body was painted with automotive touch up paint (Audi panther black metallic or something like that) and clear coated. After that the paint was polished with LMG polishing kit and Novus plastic polish. Windshield and lamp washer nozzles were made from plastic strip and glued to place after the body was polished. Interior carpet was made with baking soda sprinkled on wet paint and painted gray after the original paint had set. Exhaust tips were made from polished aluminum tube.

Very cool porsche!
The paint , is it black or has it got other accents in it too (gunmetal?)

I like the way this one turned out, with great , and especially clean building !

Oh, and I suspect the owner of this car lives in a dry area, doesn't he ? ;-)

Check your wipers!

I'm not a big fan of the 928, but your build is excellent. Good job.

I'm aware of the wipers, I'm just waiting to get some suitable etched wipers because the plastic ones from the kit don't look too good. And if you look carefully you can see that the rear brake disc on the driver side is still missing, because I somehow managed to lost it in my projects pile Fortunately I've found it now. Also on the third picture you can see that the windshield (actually the whole glass part) doesn't fit too well and leaves an awful gap between the windshield post and the windshield I think I'll try to fill it with Kristal Klear.

The color is quite near gunmetal seen on Skylines, maybe a bit lighter.

I bought (and started, but then it sat on the project line for ages) the kit years ago from a local hobby shop. I think the kit is still in production.

This car brings back memories. The one time I drove on the German "Autobahn", one 928S4 passed buy at 150km/h, drove along side me for a couple of seconds and then accelerated hard away leaving smoke trails on the tarmac. It was out of sight within seconds

anyway, very nicely done Mikko! I really love it!!

Awesome finish!

It's alway good to see a front "porch" built-up. I may have to dig out a 928, 944 or even a 924 out of the closet when I finish my big pile of WIP's.
