Not sure of those model numbers, but I have run RadShit CB's in my last two vehicle and had good experiences with both. In the X I wanted a cleaner install so I went with the Cobra75.

Lots here use the Cobra 75. It gives you many more install locations because the electronics are in the receiver.

On the cobra 75 does it have an output for external speakers. Not so you can listen to the cb but so that you can talk through it. Kind of like the cops have.

Look at Schlud's post. They were the best I found.
The cobra has a place for the external speaker, it hooks to the box.

The Cobra 75 does not have a PA out. You'd be nothing but trouble with it anyway

Cobra
I've always had good experiences with the Cobra CB's. I have the 29 NW ST, and it has PA out (I don't use it). It has performed very well for me. Its not a remote mount, its a big honkin' "trucker" style CB. Folks give me lots of weird looks when they get in my truck and see this redneck memorablia on my dashboard.

is the remote installation hard?
what does it require? i really like how small & compact the whole unit is. |

http://www.valcoelectronics.com/cb/c75wxst.htm I've found their prices to be the lowest anywhere (including prices on antennas, etc.).

I support ALF because they're local, and the guy is a lot of help. He just happens to sell on the internet too.
