Exclamation DEAR SANTA UR PULLY or HS CAI??

Guys, I’ve been reasonably good this year :silly2: so im going to ask santa for my first toy for my Primera P11. Thing is, I'm not quite shure which to get first

1 The Unorthodox Racing Pully
2 The Hot Shot CAI

Also I’m not quite sure on the UR Pulleys because I’ve com across several sites stating problems with them. For example some claim that stock pulleys work as balancers and harmonic or vibration dampers? Is this true or just some hype from a unsatisfied customer?

Out of the two above options which would give me more power to my $$?

Thanks

About the harmonic balancer stuff that really only usually applies to crappy domestic motors. The SR20 is internally balanced so don't worry about. I've had the UR pullies for almost the life of my car (~30K km on the pullies) and not a problem yet.

However get the CAI. You'll like the feel and sound better. The pullies are hardly noticable.

Depends on the milage of the car, If you near or past 60K get the UR pulleys, since you will have to change the belt anyway. If you do get the pulleys and replace the belt, advance the timing as well, since your messing. I had the dealer install mine (no real time in my hands to do it) I noticed a big increase (thats going from stock). If your no where near the milage get the HS CAI...just my two cents. I also havent had any problems with the UR pulleys (2 piece set)

I have both, and I noticed a much larger difference with the HS CAI... that's my vote. It's one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do.
