Correct color for the Kremer Porsche 935 (Vaillant)?
Anyone have this? I searched and couldn't come up with anything. The instructions don't say and it looks just a tad more green than the "coral blue" of Tamiya's TS series (Leyton House color).
Anyone? Daniel |

From what I understand, yes. I think (as I remember) it goes on a little thicker than normal TS line paints but can be used on plastic.

Re: Correct color for the Kremer Porsche 935 (Vaillant)?
I would not spray it on bare plastic. I would use a good light gray or white automotive primer like Plastikote T-235 White sandable primer. Also it is not glossy as it is made to spray inside of a clear body. It's not flat but it will need a clear coat. It's a hassle but is the only accurate paint for that car. I have been looking for something suitable for years. The closest I have found is Rustoleum Painter's Touch Jade.

http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/produ...0#.UPdptI63nEk There is a noticeable difference in a lot of the color swabs when you compare the chart from Zero and the chart from scalemodelb together on the same computer screen. On my computer, RAL 1016 is a green on the Zero RAL chart and a yellow on the scalemodelb RAL chart it makes it all but impossible to order a color going by these charts as they both differ so much compared to each other. How would you know which one was the closest to the actual paint ? |

Re: Correct color for the Kremer Porsche 935 (Vaillant)?
To be perfectly clear, the color you see on a computer screen or in a photo will never be a perfect match to a paint chart, RAL or otherwise. Photos and computer screens are subject to too many variables to see the objects true color. Comparing the color on an RAL chart to that of a photo will only convince you one of them is wrong. If you can get the RAL code for a paint, any paint supplier that has the equipment can color match the RAL exactly.
As a prime example, Mclaren F1 cars under Marlboro sponsorship were painted fluorescent red because on TV the red seemed more vibrant, the only thing is on the TV's of that day, the red didn't look fluorescent.
