Tin-y sound? (with video)
Does anyone have any idea what this sound might be on a 2004 4x2 small block Tahoe LS? Not the breaks, I know that sound. I can't figure out what the deep rattle-tin sound is.

It's the heat shield above the muffler, it breaks and rattles. There is a replacement available. You can also get large worm gear clamps, like big hose clamps, that will fit around the muffler and clamp the shield, NAPA sells the clamps.

most times the heat shield do loosen especially if corroded. I use .030 stainless steel wire and wrap around the shields . this will out last the vehicle. no worry of the shield flying off. |
