problems with dash lights

at first the dash lights worked off and on.now they have totally stopped working.i have checked all the fuses and bulbs and they all look fine.im running out of ideas so if anyone has an idea i would greatly appreciate the help.oh yea it is a 97 if that makes a difference.

I agree....with the lights on.....adjust your dimmer switch....watch the cluster, the radio and HVAC head......if none work, check the dimmer circuit.....if the radio and HVAC work, but the cluster doesn't, then you may have a cluster problem....

none of the lights work when adjusting with the dimmer switch.i even tried switching the cluster and still nothing.

If the lights did not change on the radio and HVAC control head, the dimmer circuit has to be checked...

You have a switch to manually turn your headlights on. Next to it is the little roller-type switch that adjusts the brightness of your dash lights. If you move that switch all the way to its brightest level and beyond, it should light up your dome light. That little roller switch is basically your dimmer circuit.

If none of the dash lights are working , you likely have a bad headlight switch .
