painting plastic chrome trim
97 buick skylark
v6 3.1 ltr manta green metallic here are some pics though mine is 2-door and does not have the white striping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...77268671#v4-39 so the chrome trim has spots and a section of one side along the body has turned black. it will be a while (maybe 1 yr) before i start having body work done so in the meantime i figure on painting the chrome. i was thinking hi-gloss silver. someone suggested high-gloss black but it seems like there is a silver-blue tint and i don't think the blue would work with the current car color. nothing really fancy just a decent temporary fix. i just checked and Dupli-Color has an 'Instant Chrome' product. or maybe paint all the chrome black (not high-gloss) or the top chrome black and the bottom chrome they also have a color-changing silver/green product. that might be nice. i dunno - open to suggestions. have had a lot of under the hood engine work done since i want to keep the car so thanks for any advice.
