Sloppy Steering... 93 E-250

Hi all
The steering has become so loose that I do not want to drive it anymore. The the tie rod ends etc... are all in good shape. I found the steering knuckle / u-joint assembly at the base of the steering shaft directly at the steering gear to be the culprit but I dont know the best way to replace replace it. Any suggestions?
Thank you!
