Change headlights? 1996 Chevrolet Cheyenne 4x4
The Chilton book I have here is absolutely worthless for a lot of repairs. I know changing headlights is usually simple enough but it is dark and cold here, and I can't see how to easily access the headlight bulbs for a change over to BRIGHTIES. Do you come in from the outside or from under the hood? Things were so much simpler then

The headlight assy needs to come out the front. On the top of the radiator support are 2 long screw in studs with small hex heads. Remove these and then remove the assy. Use cotton gloves when handling halogen bulbs.

Re: Change headlights? 1996 Chevrolet Cheyenne 4x4
I got those bulbs changed out but those fancy little Torx headlight adjusters broke real nice when I tried to move them!! I guess I will looking in the wreckers for some complete assemblies to replace them!! Son of a gun, the plastic and pot metal stuff is so cheap!! Thanks again though for the good help.
