Is this a normal 1/8 mile time??

one of my friends just got a si hatch with a b16 and he ran it at the 1/4 mile track and got a 10.1. everything on the car is stock except for the exhaust. is this a normal? if not then what is?

i think thats around where it suppose to be, maybe little faster, because people tell me that a sohc vtec and a b16 are suppose to hang in 1st and 2nd or so, so a sohc vtec and a b16 1/8 mile times are gonna be pretty close if what they told me is correct, sorry im just guessing here, but im curious to see if im correct.

why not just compare it to your times walt

You might want to change the line in your explanation to 1/8 instead of 1/4

Generally a B16A powered car wont have the legs until the 2nd-3rd gearchange I've found. VTEC is limited in first and then kicks in with a vengence in second. The ZC is making it's power at lower RPM. It's just the nature of the motors.

Hmm... I wish I knew what I did with my timeslips.. I thought I was in the 9s in the 1/8..

I'll get a new one for you as soon as I get my hood pins on and can exceed 120km/h. I'll let you know.
