Dead Batteries
I am having to replace battery every 24 hours. The alternator has been checked and is operating correctly. The problem started with sparks flying while I had to jump start. I didn't reverse the jumper cables. Any possible suggestions?

Re: Dead Batteries
With a fully charged battery and the engine at 1,500 RPM, check voltage at the battery terminals and post your results.

Re: Dead Batteries
you having to chrge or replace the battery? If it's just going dead, check for something shorted or staying on while the truck is parked.

Re: Dead Batteries
Good Batteries Don't Die Young. Disconnect the battery positive post and measure it's resistance to ground. Shake the cable, and follow it all the way down to the starter, it could have worn through. Something is definitely shorted to ground.
