Wildbird 2000

mostly bough this for the engine, didnt want to throwit out so a lot of work on the body everything was filled in. pseudo tilt hood lines cut chopped top, molded dash, 2 mini comps, resin subwoofers. the paint is all house of kolors with asymetric panels and fades and a mural on the trunk. the wheels were from a boyd kit stripped and repainted flat silver with green accents. not my best work and probably the last car ill be building for a while.

Re: Wildbird 2000

I know what model this is and I must say...at least you finished it. That kit is HORRIBLE!!! the only thing good about that kit is that you could use it to make a killer looking imsa race car with the body...if you tossed everything else in the bin.

I must reply honestly. Other than the mural application, I think the HOK paint could have been better used on something else. I've seen your work and like all of us, you have good days and bad days, this one is of the latter. Sorry.

Don't take this as hatred or being cruel. I can just tell that your heart wasn't in this build.

As for the application of the paint, it looks like you did an outstanding job. I wish my paintjobs would come out that shiny!

I really hope you aren't being honest with us that THIS one will be your last one, you have to go out on a good note.

i handle my criticism well. youre right its really bad nothing fit nothing is chromed. which is why its pretty much bondoed shut, but im not one to throw cars away easily they all get built one way or another.the paint is pretty bad too i had a nasty fish eye reaction that took forever to clean up so that it was at least presentable and the mural has a massive split in the middle. it was one of those things i wanted to get off my chest ive never done a 70s style custom. unfortunately this could be the last one for a while if i dont get the 81 camaro finished in time. ill be back at the bench soon but my possible move to a southern state will be a massive one that will keep me from building for a while.
