Beautyfull job!

I always wondered if the overall body accuracy on this kit was worth the effort to build this Bimmer.

I guess you are decided to prove it to be a Yes!

Please keep posting your progress.

Hello Michael

That's a very interesting car and you're doing a great job. The decals are great, the wheels are excellent and the body mods look really good.

This is an exciting first post, and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Welcome to the forum.

Superb work so far. I've been hoping to recreate all BMW art cars one day, and I wanted to start with Stella car as well. Watching this one closely!

Very nice work. I have a question what did you use for wheels? These are not the original model from a kit

I've noticed these kits coming up on ebay lately and often wondered what they were like. Looks like you've made great progress so far, looking forward to more.

Yes, I'm agree..great work so far in a not so common subject we see everyday around. Oh yes, what wheels you used?..What about the center lock nut? What about the PE set?..Is this the one for the M1 from Renaissance?...What about the engine?..Is this the M1's?

Re: Bmw 3.0csl arii 1:24

Thanks for your warm welcome and good replies.
The wheels of the CSL kit was to small. I bougth the Renaissance BBS wheels set and this was also to small and not best. Thats why i used rims from the Tamiya Celica Gr.5 kit. I removed the inside and replace this with the PE set from Renaissance. This fits perfectly.
The engine is from the Revell M1 procar. The engine in booth cars was very similar.
CSL -> BMW M88
M1 -> BMW M88/1

Great work so far! I didn't manage to do the vents above the rear wheels on the Gosser Beer version that I am building, may I ask how you made them?

Very nice work. Decals are carefully laid. Solving the problem of the original wheel kit is great. Thank you for showing the path. I wish you much success in the construction.

Thanks. First i expanded every wing with an 1mm sheet. The vents are from the hood of a Hasegawa Lancia Stratos. The intake in front are made of 0.5mm aluminium. I copy the decals and take it as gauge. I hope i can help you.
