95 Lesabre accelerates HARD under pressure
Hi all, I'm new here so I'll try to be as complete as I can. I have a 1995 Lesabre 3.8 w/ 200,000 miles - 3rd owner (gramps, dad, now me) regularly maintained, never any problems till now. Yesterday it started acting up, while driving normally the engine started "shuddering" under hard acceleration, not so much if you'd go easy on the pedal, but if you try to get on it, it's like it's starving for gas? No check engine light, nothing else is wrong, starts easy, drives fine until you try to accelerate hard (passing a car) doesn't matter what speed I'm at (does it at 20mph, same as 60mph). I had a 91 and a 93 so I'm pretty familiar with the engine and I know I can buy a whole bunch of $100 parts to try to fix this, tired of doing that. Any help before I start, it's my wife's work car and I surely don't want her getting stranded anywhere. Thanks for any info!
