Welcome to AF.

What do you mean by Motorola box?

The factory content based alarm system, MALL system, RKE system and interior lighting are all controlled by the body control module (BCM).

Re: 00 GTP Alarm/ dome light problem?

Are you sure it is a factory set up? Could it be some sort of aftermarket alarm or remote start unit? I don't recall ever seeing any motorola brand components under my dash.

Re: 00 GTP Alarm/ dome light problem?

It is the Body Control Module (BCM). If you replace it, it must be re-programmed using a GM Tech 2 scan tool. Also, the service id label code(s) must match on the replacement BCM since there are at least three different level of BCMs on '97-'03 Grand Prixs.
