whats the deal with race team wannabes?

I live here in new mexico in the four corners area and all day long i see cavaliers and sunfires and all these other cars were people just slap on a muffler , maybe an air intake, and a sticker that says team somethin or other, or somethin or other performance crew. and i was wandering what are the benefits of being on a race team or performance crew do you just get the sticker and get to act like your car is fast or is there some added benefit that i am not seeing?

depends on how big the crew is. if it's just some peeps who have like 5/6 people in them then no there is usually no benefits, unless you need a since of belonging

these are kids that think they know about cars because they have seen fast and furious and dont read or do anything to their cars themselves besides put on seat covers, theres a group around here called krooked wayz and its 3 auto cavaliers with mufflers and seat covers and seat belt pads, then theres a group called negative 9 which is a bunch of auto late 80's or early 90's cars.....just dumbasses

Shitty painted white interior (its chipping)
Nice stock 15" alloys painted black with krylon (its chipping)
Front bumper all painted white with krylon (its chipping)

94 Infiniti G20

Not to bad, this has to be the best car in the crew

Shitty magnaflow muffler

And they have a few more cars I cant remember off the top of my head, one is like a 70's celica with TRD shit all over it.

hrmmm...its so all the wannabe's can feel cool an drop names of crews. there are some serious crews up here in wa (ie a couple require that u run 13's or lower jus to roll w/ them), but for the most part its jus a bunch of friens who think it'll make them seem cooler. there's a team called "Exotic Phantasies" (yes thats how they spell it), an ppl drop their name all over the place. "I roll w/ ...i raced a guy from..." blah blah blah...its a rice crew who thinks they have nice cars. IMO crews=waste of time. its better jus to get a group of friens together, don't need a sticker to point out which cars u chill w/...

'm sure u've heard of them yes b16?

i agree. if it's done correctly it can be very benificial, group members chip in some money to put a part on your car, and as the old say'n goes 2 heads are better than one. (know what about 20 or 50)

most of the better clubs out there will have plenty of restrictions so they don't have chumps damaging there name as a club.
