how do you check your error code

hi i just bought an 89lx today and was wondering how to check my engine error code is the blinking on the cpu itself ?

Yes, there is a glass light in the middle of your ECU...turn ignition on without starting the car and watch as the light on your ECU will blink. Example: Long blink followed by 3 short ones is counted as 13...Count the number of blinks and post for more info.

Are you sure. I belive that the long blink is to tell you that it is on and then it will blink so many times. and that number will tell you what one. Cause if it is the way that you say then I am in trouble cause My car is throwin a 26. DAMN thats a big number.

read it the way you want but the long code is counted as 10 in any book. I had 2 long blinks and 3 intermittent ones for my knock sensor (23)

ok it's code 6 i read its coolant temperature
what can i do for that ?
and also to resset it I read that you should remove the hazard fuse for 10 secs were is it located ?
and what number is the fuse in ?

I'm not sure exactly but you have 2 fuse boxes...under your steering column and in the engine bay (right hand shock tower), just check it out.
You can also unplug your ecu and that'll reset it.
