Golf GTI MK2 "Yes, Another one :P"

The MK4 is on a hold for a while.
This because of the bad weather (I can't paint or primer the body).

So i'm starting another Golf :P.

This time it's another Golf MK2.
Luckiliy these kits are already 2-door models

Don't know the style i'm going for yet.

A Golf need a badgeless grille, so I made one.

Here's a small Tutorial:

First you have to cut out the part between the headlights in the body:

Also cut out the middle part of the grille:

Like this:

Then you have to make the part that's going to be the new grille:

You just have to staple styrene on top of each other

When you have done that, just make it the right height and width so it will fit.
After that glue it in place, and you should have this:

His blue brother looks a bit angry ( I did it the same way with him)

Yeah
Please keep it with small bumpers this time

If we could meet I'm sure we would be friends, we both like the same things but Winschoten is too far for me, It's Zeeland there no?
I only go to Roosendaal or Maastricht, you know why

Winschoten is in the north of Holland in Groningen

And the plan was to stick with the small bumpers this time :P

I normally do not like outlandish 'loud' cars, but this one seems different. if only you would sell me your mkiv 2-door body.

great progress. are you thinking of the same bbs mesh as on the black car?

Re: Golf GTI MK2 "Yes, Another one :P"

I have the wheels and bumpers ready.

I used some BBS RS, and made new tires for the wheels because the tires that came with the wheels we're a bit too thick:

I used some spare tires and cut a part out of them and glued the tires on the rims.

And here are the bumpers that are made with BMF (I have to clean them up a bit):

Re: Golf GTI MK2 "Yes, Another one :P"

Great, front is a bit wrong, Did you use BMF on bumpers?
Make new low profile tyres (from wheel of bicycle) because that are ugly...
