For my 2010 Altima, can I use a transponder key instead of a FOB?

I have a pocket full of keys and I don't use the FOB for anything but getting into the car and starting it (button start).

Can I instead use a transponder key and regain some pocket room?

Thanks for any help provided,

Carl Odle
