Agree with GMTech1......leave airbag repairs to the pros, if you really don't know what you are doing..........
More often than not, if you lift the carpet up on the passenger side, and you find water under the carpet, all the connections to the SDM are corroded and you need a full harness replacement.......that's what I have run into....
As GMTech1 said, if that garage does not have a scan tool capable of reading "B" codes, it can't communicate with the SDM....
