Paint the body of the car before building the rest of the kit.
It is always best to leave the body for a week to dry really well so the paint is hard. While it is drying you can be building and painting the rest of the kit.
If the bumpers/wing/mirrors etc are seperate....paint them by them selfs and attach them later on when you have finshed polishing the body. (LESS THINGS TO KNOCK OFF !!)
Use Tamiya masking tape for any masking you want to do....its the best.
I would not use a full size gun for painting
Most kits you buy will tell you what paint to get in a can and dont cost much.
Dan well help you out on what type of spray gun to get if you want one. He has one.
I dont have one.
