Best to use proper A/C manifold type gauges and see what the charge is based on the ambient temperature or refrigerant evacuated and weighed. Also, high side pressure should be checked to determine if you have other issues like a faulty compressor or other A/C component like a clogged orifice.
The proper charge of R134a under GM revised specs at the low side port is now 36 oz.
