The red one would most likely be a direct line to the pump to bypass everything to make sure it will energize, so you do not buy a pump and later find out the relay was bad, or so on. I think you may be correct on the fuel pump test wire. I stoped at a used car lot today and looked at one they had and that one had the same wires hanging out.
Its a 98 BTW
Any ideas how I can diagnose this?
