That doesn't sound good. Same way like the old days Tim with carbs. Either just let it sit for awhile or keep the accelerator floored (WOT) as you crank. This should let the PCM module know that it should turn off the fuel injector pulses. Technically known as "clear flood mode". But it helps to have a good or fully charged battery first.
