2CV "Rock and Roll-Bar" conversion (aka Jean-Paul)

This my birthday present to myself – the completed thread for Jean-Paul the 2CV

Many thanks to everyone who followed along during the build and provided encouragement, ideas and input – it really helped turn this into a fun build for me that, to be honest, I am kind of sad to actually finish

Also, a special thanks to friends and members who provided more than just moral support but chipped in with tools, parts, items, references and everything else that contributed to making this build become a reality.

This is a conversion of the Tamiya 1/24 Citroen 2CV to represent an existing car that tweaked my imagination when I came across it during a Google search for reference photos. I have no idea who owns the original and made the conversion but I would love to find out so that I could send them photos of my interpretation
Anyone feeling masochistic can find the full WIP here.

The build has many scratch built parts which, apart form the roll cage, include the suspension, seats, engine parts, spare wheels etc.

The diorama was an idea that developed much later in the build and became a sort of experimental laboratory for me to play with different techniques.

Thanks again for your support and enjoy

This is the reference photo that started the whole project just 3 years, 3 months, 23 days ago (or if you prefer: 1211 days / 29 064 hours / 1 743 840 minutes / 104 630 400 seconds).
