The only way to find out what is going wrong is to drop the headliner and have a look.
If the roof isnt opening or closing all the way, chances are thiers something broke or worn out and needing replaced.
Also the DRL's do not effect the sun roof, as it is on its own circuit.
Though it could be something simple such as needing some lubrication on the track assembly.
without looking.
