i didn't even need the special tools to remove the stock radio. you can do without the tool. if you look in the little "glove box" located under your radio, you will see 2 hex screews. take them out. if you remove the small panel that goes over the heater buttons (that little cover snaps off, be carefull not to break it) you will see another 2 hex screews. remove them as well. so after removing the 4 hex screws the whole assembly comes out with the radio. after that you can just use your fingers to press the two clips on side of radio to disconnect it from the face panel. understand?
