How are the fittings on your old line? What I had to do in the past when I came across a similar situation was to cut the end off a new steel line and re-use the fittings from the old OEM line,( mine were still in good shape, usually the ends are still good if they haven't been stripped where the line itself goes bad.)then make the necessary flare on the end of the line.There is a tool kit you can buy,(I got mine at Autozone as part of a kit that has a tool that flares the ends,once you install the used fittings, and has pieces to help bend the tubes. If I remember correctly it cost me around $25 a few years ago, and it had various pieces to make special flares on the end of the line(s) )
