Welcome Aboard!

Reconnect the wiring the way it was originally. Test for constant battery power at the orange wire at the brake pedal switch. If there is no power, check the STOP/HAZ fuse in the interior fuse panel. If there is power, make sure both the white wires get power when the brake pedal is depressed. If there is no power on the white wires with the pedal depressed, check the switch. If there is power on the white wires, check the turn signal/hazard flasher switch. One of the white wires goes directly to the center high mount brake lamp, while the other operates the brake lamps through the turn/haz switch.
