I ended up heating the brake line fitting with a propane torch for 10 minutes and got it loose with a vise grip. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying to tighten it in the new unit with vise grips. it worked ! T he Junkyard unit works fine. It ended up costing me $149.31 with the brake fluid. I would like to keep the car until it hits 100,000 miles, but we only drive it 2500-3000 mi/yr.
I'd be 93 or dead by then...............
