Hi, I'm building the "Ferrari Daytona 365/4 GTB Speciale" for the "Tribute To The 60 Red Years" group build.
I've been collecting reference material, wich is not too easy since they only built one car of this model. but I am struggeling most to find the right color code for the car.
Here is car with the color I am trying to find:
The current owner of the car (French) states the color is "blue tourbillon" but this is obviously French. I used "Altavista bable fish" to translate, and it comes up with in English: "blue swirl" and in Italian "blue turbinio" but I guess that should have been "blu turbinio"?
I've searched through lots of Ferrari colorcharts on the net, but cant find any blue color with the name "turbinio" or anything with "turbin" So I am guessing the owners color refence is wrong. The Fujimi kit states Gunze (Mr hobby) H25 Sky Blue wich also is the same as Tamiya X14 Sky Blue. but I is clearly not correct, since the color dont seem to match at all and since they are solid colors, while the car was metallic.
So I'm left with trying to compare some pics on the net with some colorcharts on the net, and that is not exactly an accurate method. But I am at the moment leaning towards the Ferrari color "Azzurro California" or "blu chiaro".
Ferrari colors on cars here
I am planning to try out the Zero paints that Hiroboy sells, so I need a correct color code, to mix the right color. Is there anyone that can shed some more light on this subject?
Any help is appriciated.
