It sounds like you want to start at the top and go from there. I recommend you start out small. First, open up the exhaust by removing the U-bend. This will increase exhaust flow and give you some power. A cold air intake will improve breathing as well and will not cost a lot of money. The next step in the budget mods would be a set of headers. Better exhaust flow and will help improve performance once you install a smaller supercharger pulley a 3.25" pulley would be a good choice. Then get a reprogrammed PCM. I believe DHP will reprogram it for you for $99 if you send them your PCM. Finally, you may want to go with different ratio rocker arms as the next step. All of these items are bolt ons and don't involve pulling the engine or removing too many components. All the above mods will cost you less than $1500 and are perfectly acceptable for street performance. And the good thing is you can do all of the above mods yourself and save a bunch of money.
