Actually the '99 Stratus/Breeze has no 'gum'. The metal grill has to be pryed out at the bottom then lifted up towards the sideview mirrors & pulled out. First though, the window winder needs to be removed (this was my original problem). There is a retaining clip hidden behind a trim-ring (washer). The clip is very hard to see unless you know what your looking for.

I think the forum is in good shape as it is. Please feel free to 'talk' about performance, others will join in. I mainly come here to seek assitance with repairs to my 2 cars and would be happy to read about increasing their performance.
