If the position of the contol is completelly in full cold, and if you pop the hood and verify that the valve is completelly close, then there shouldn't be hot air into the system, also you can check if the refrigerant pressure goes donw, if it does, then you have a leakage within the system.
but even if you have it there should be some cold air anyway until the pressure goes completelly down.
