Hello again,
Here is a synopsis of my last post: While driving home yesterday, the ABS, ETC OFF
(traction control) and SVS
(Service Vehicle Soon) lamps all came on at the same time, just like it does every year.
So far, I've tried: Disconnecting/reconnecting the battery cables,
reseating the ABS fuse and had
ABS wire harness replaced by GM. Right now, I am in the process of letting the car sit and dry off, hoping the error goes away on its own.
I will admit my knowledge of cars is limited. Would any of this have to do with the weather outside? I noticed whenever it gets humid, the lamps show up.
Maybe the module that holds the wires is exposed to the elements, causing it to short out?
Tomorrow, I am going to get a Chiltons/Haynes manual, then jack the car up so I can get a better idea; I'm just trying to avoid getting hosed out of $300 that could *easily* go towards a new suspension...again, any and all help would be much apreciated if anyone has any info.
Praying I dont die under my car - Matt
