Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I'm very pleased with the model; best in my collection. My future models have a high bar to match against.
As for the winner, it was some chopped hotrod with a chameleon paint job. The paint job, while nice, had a good amount of orange peel, the interior was poorly painted (mostly covered since it was an extreme chop), but the thing that burns me the most was the windrow trim wasn't painted or BMF'ed, and body details like the molded on wipers, grills, and panel lines were completely ignored. Basics can't be ignored in a contest. That's why I mentioned bias, towards domestics/against imports. There were only a handful of non-US road cars at the whole show, my R34 and Celsior, hirofkd's Jaguar, a 1/43 Aston Martin, a couple of Civics.
