The both have pro's and con's...
Stick will always make more hp to the wheels with equal flywheel hp. So in heads-up, or head-up class racing you can always have the advantage of HP if your motor combo's are equal.
Auto's also have an advantage. the main one is being more consistent at every thing from shift to the launch.
So on a straightaway top-speed run (if that was ya question cause u didn't say 1/4 mile) two stock cars the same, one auto one manual. The manual will win if driven right cause it has the HP advantage to get it out of the whole and the hp advantage to fight wind resistance.
