A good header, catalytic converter, and cat-back exhaust system can produce a good increase in HP and responsiveness. I'd say a rough average of about 15-20HP, give or take, depending on the motor you're using and your setup. You need to purchase a header designed for your motor (the motor you have is stamped on the engine block next to your transmission, below the distributor).

The ceramic coated header will help keep heat down in your engine bay, but can rust. The stainless steel costs more and doesn't do as good of a job keeping heat down, but won't rust. Both pretty much do the same thing, so it's your choice which one you purchase.
