I'm sure Hypsi could enlighten us more but another problem wit that remote turbo is that turbos work on both gas pressure and heat. That set-up may work but is not very efficient at all. I bet if you kept most things the same but in a more traditional turbo location the RWHP increase would have been more.
Also yes one nice wet day and your hydrolocking ya motor for sure with there filter location.
