Do the valve guide seals usually wear out around 100k on the the 3kgt? isn't that kind of a short life span compared to most imports? I'm coming up on 100k, I don't want to have to take apart the head. It would be a fun project im sure but I dont have much time for it or money.

The valve stem seals can go at any time man! it depends on the life your engine has had. but after 100K miles its just more of a possibility, its like hitting 50 for a man, all down hill from there!
the heads on my car where done not too long ago, about 30k back to be exact. and its a good idea, the valve job really brings spunk back into a mature engine!
