I think that was just a sorta joke and he meant to say that if you don't 4wheeel, you probably don't need to worry about it.
It helps on road and limits you off road.
Most people who off road know that improved articluation is of great benefit.
I wouldn't really waste my time asking dealers or showroom sales people what to "take off".......probably a liability issue.
You should do some research before any mods and make sure you understand the negitive impacts of these changes (don't be ignorant).
