well the simplest way to solve that problem, is just pull your ecu fuse out and put it back in every 100+ miles, by doing so you clear the "Memory" so it has to relearn. bad part is that you have to enter the radio security code, presets, etc.

I have seen a write up on NTPOG on how you could turn the memory on your ECU on or off by a flick of a switch. Ive considered to do this myself but im not sure how well it works. Has anyone else on this forum tried that tutorial yet? the link is http://wwww.ntpog/mods/index.shtml

As for conversion harness's for OBDI>OBDII most 5th gen owners i know solve the problem with that method.

btw anyone know anything on that new blitz R-vit? i took a glance at the article in the new import tuner, would that solve the 5th gen OBDII problem?
