well im not exactly sure as to how much boost you could run with new rods and pistons but to answer your question putting in rods and pistons is fairly difficult. its best that you have a machine shop do the work cuz if you get aftermarket pistons its may be a lil bigger than the cylinder so you'll need to get it bored to fit the cylinder. and you need to a lil more top end work to run hi boost cuz not only do you need rods and pistons but you'll need valves springs retainers hi boost gaskets and reinforce the deck i hope this helps you some
