How To- Add Realism To Your Diecast, Carpeted Ceiling

this adds some realism to your diecast models and also covers up nasty rivets that are visible

materials needed
-diecast model
-scissors
-screwdriver
-felt (i use PrestoFelt found at Walmart- 87 cents and it has a sticky side so no superglue or other addhesive is needed)
-cardboard (i used an old notebook cover)
-pen or pencil

remove the screws so the body is not attached

cut out a size of cardboard the approximate size of the roof area

test fit it by seeing if it will fit on the roof

mine was to big so i did some trimming

much better

now take the felt and place it felt side down, then put the cardboard on top of the felt

trace the outline of the cardboard onto the felt

cut out the felt

test fit again, make adjustments as needed

peel the back of the felt off exposing the sticky side of the felt

place the felt sticky side down, make adjustments as needed again, then enjoy

BEFORE

AFTER

ENJOY!!!
