Jack, I think you may be able to help. I am thinking of switching either my burned up 3 speed trans on a 2.8L baretta GTU or change both tranny & engine. I am wanting to know my options as to what GM tranny's will bolt up to and work on the 2.8L such as the 4T60 HD on the Grand Prix Turbo. Am wanting to go to a stonger trans that will get me better milage, if thats possible. Thought I'd do research 1st, as it's going to be a bigger job than I have ever attempted before, but I like mechanical challenges. Just need to make sure the computer in the vehicle will recognize and make the transplant function properly. Any idea's? Thanks ahead of time.
