i fucking hate 'em!! the're huge and dangerous and they try and kill me. 4 different SUV's tryed to switch into my lane while i was right beside them. fucking and then when they see that i am honking and dodgeing them they have the nerve to give me the finger. WTF is this bullshit. they almost kill me because they can't see shit around them cause there 10 fucking feet in the air. and then they act like it's my fault that they almost hit me. when i'm drivig i have to look up at the doorhandle of most of these monsters. there is no fucking reason to have a vhicle that fucking big if you need space get a fucking minivan if you want off road capabilatys get a goddamn truck if you just want to be a fuckhead i guess an SUV is right for you but right after you get if you should go and see if it can hadle driving off a 300 ft. cliff. all SUV's should die.

Could it be you almost got ran over, b/c you were in their blind spot??? I have a lowered truck that sits just as low as any car and have almost ran into people, SUV's and cars that were in my blind spot.

Blind spot, schmlind spot. Yes, large vehicles do have them. I've driven more than my fair share of TANKS on the road. Yes, there are times when I don't see a car in my mirrors, but didn't driver's ed ever teach some of these people to TURN THEIR HEAD?!?! That's what saved me a few times... the head check to look at the blind spot and then you change lanes. You don't just signal and go and see what happens. I think all vehicles larger than x size should have manditory convex mirrors. They are INCREDIBLY useful in merging and seeing in the blind spots, not to mention just keeping the large vehicles on the road. I can't tell you the number of times my stock height car has been nearly run-down b/c of some ignoramus asshole in their precious SUV with their cellphone to their ear. God bless aftermarket horns. The ones I have now aren't bad, but next project is some Fiam air horns... I dare them to not hear me then!!! :evillaugh

You need to adjust your mirrors properly. (http://www.smartmotorist.com/mir/mir.htm)

Thanks but my mirrors are adjusted just fine and besides I turn to look in the lane im merging into before I change lanes. Enough of this I hate SUV b.s., theres nothing no one can do about it so everyone just deal with it, quit bitching, and some moderator close this thread.

If you still have blind spots, they aren't.

You apparently don't understand the meaning of blind spots. Whether your mirrors are adjusted or not there is always going to be blind spots. The only thing that would rid the blind spots is to have a car with no pillars and all windows..

Some cars just have huge blindspots. My friends old EXA no matter how the mirrors were adjusted, you could never see everything fully. Plus the rear side windows basicly didn't exist, it was just a huge pillar. So turning your head helped alittle, but barely. I hated driving that car.
Then my car on the other hand, is so small that my mirrors cover everything. I don't actually have a blindspot from my mirrors. Plus when i turn my head (always) my windows are so huge that i have no problems seeing everything.
But one problem with side mirrors. Alot of people adjust the passenger side one, so they can see the curb when the park. So they then can't see anything driving.
