lower manifold gaskets

99winstar 3.8 , can anyone tell me if doing the lower intake gaskets are a difficult job.i did isolater bolt fix last year and thought went fairly easy but thats about as far i went .now lowers are leaking. and am i going to be up against a difficult repair. thanks k

Lower intake manifold gaskets are a lot more work than the upper.
There are coolant passeges through the lower intake manifold and there is more stuff to take apart.
You would be wise to also replace any coolant hoses and that cross-over pipe as well.
You will also need a torque wrench as torque specifications are critical for the lower intake manifold bolts.
I recommend a beam style torque wrench as being better than a "clicker" style for the torque values involved.
Gaskets are to by DRY fitted, not added sealant unless specifically call for.
Use a GOOD repair manual (alldatadiy) is a good one.
Once you finish the intake manifold job.....you MUST change the motor oil and filter BEFORE you start the motor.
