have leaking trans pump seal. need information on trans removal. do you have to remove engine

You should be able to see the instructions for this on the AutoZone website.....under the FREE repair information.
I think that they require you to register (also FREE).
You can also subscribe to their AlldataDIY, but I think the instructions you will find in the FREE repair information will be pretty much identical for that particular project.
