Just look under the Fotki name KidCharlemagne.
Search returns: "No Members Found"
250TR, perhaps you could post a link to that fabled Fotki account?.....

you're not missing much at the moment.
there's only the three not entirely clear photos of the GTOs.
i got to it when i fixed the linking to images but i can't find it again now.

I have to say this thread is turning into my favorite soap opera :)
I am impressed 250TR. People have offered you advice, help and suggestions; they have asked you questions; some have suggested you quit modeling; you have even been lambasted and flamed.
Yet you ignore all this and always manage to come back with Terminator-like determination with essentially monosyllabic off-topic replies.
Trollism off the highest order IMHO. I take my hat off to you http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/klutz100/SMILEYS/worshippy.gif

Thanks. Although this is my first resin kit, I have plans to make it better.

Well, my "job" here as it were, is to help this place run smoothly and to make it a welcoming place.
Apart from magicking away spelling errors in thread titles, fixing broken links, correcting image links, merging threads and vanquishing spam, I'm also supposed to help people with enquiries about this modelling lark, linking to helpful threads and sites where possible.

I just noticed that the rear window on my MFH GTO has a dent in it. Is that normal? Is there a way to reshape the window?
Hi-larious! Sorry, but in comedy, they call this "topping the topper." You definitely have a gift in that department.
Anyhow, maybe that Ferrari belongs unbuilt on the shelf for a while. I've got a kit like that - it's been waiting for my skills to improve, so I can do it justice.

Guys.... there aren't so much of us that got the chance to meet and know much other forum's member: this to say that we don't really know who are writing by the other side and also his age: this said in a generic way, I wouldn't say that 250TR is a kid or other.
BTW, 250TR, you aren't help us to try to help you: you don't give sufficent info about you and your skills, you don't show decent picts, don't answer to question etc.... it is normal that other members start to joke around ;)

Good decisions.
Buy a Fujimi plastic 250 GTO kit and practice on it, it will help a lot.
Also practice a bit with the Milliput to learn it's properties and how to work with it. :)
PS: And be patient, this is the most important skill you need.

After I get this GTO done, I will do a few resin curbside kits. The curbside kits take way less time, and have equally good quality. I have a huge passion for resin kits and transkits.

Since a lot of people are keeping up with this entertaining thread I'll get serious for a moment and try to finish what DM was saying before he lost patience with you 250.
Just being made from resin or white metal doesn't make a model better. Sure, MFH puts some nice etch and turned aluminum bits in there too. But resin is weak and cracks if you make it too thin so the body is almost always much thicker than scale. You saw in my Testa Rossa thread how much effort I took to carve out all the extra from the MFH body and yet it's still thick at the sills. The benefit of doing the MFH over the Hasegawa was because I already had it. I wish I had done the Hasegawa with a modified R&MM GTO engine and Hiro wheels. (Heck, you even admitted that your Hasegawa turned out nice!) I'm doing a 330 P4 right now from the $30 Fujimi kit and HRM engine even though I have a $300 MFH kit of the same car on the shelf! I know in the long run it will turn out a better model.
If you go to the MFH website they're proudly announcing their first (partially) injection molded kit coming soon. Hirosan himself knows injected plastic is best. What makes MFH so cool IMO are the rare subjects.

Mike, The Hasegawa TR will look just as great with an engine from HRM. The only better wire wheels are from Herb Deeks.

I did manage to build the front suspension of the car. The engine is coming out nice, and the only thing I am worried about is the body.

There's no point telling us what you have or haven't done.
If you insist on doing so, then at least take some photos and show us in a proper Work In Progress thread in the appropriate forum.
That way, we can see what you are talking about and actually give helpful direct advice instead of saying something that might apply or that you might've already done or might be beyond your abilities.
I'm going to give this a thread a week before I close it unless something useful comes up in here because I don't see this getting anywhere.

I have encountered yet another problem. This time, it's the seats. I have had to strip, prime, and paint them several times. This has been my twentieth time I have done it. The seats came out correctly only once, and they chipped, and I had to start all over again, and I am still frustrated. :disappoin  :screwy: :nono: :shakehead
