Pinion seal replacement

Does 1967 Chevy rear end have a crush pinion sleeve and if so should it be replaced when the pinion seal is replaced.

if the pinion seal is leaking you simply replace the seal ...hopefully thats it ...you just remove drive shaft and with a tool pop out the seal ..install new use a socket on the circumference and push on ..

its been a long time that I did this job on a 1967 ...

If there is a crush collar it should be replaced and the pinion preload reset, if it has shims just tighten to about 200 lb/ft . Not sure but I believe it has shims.
